Current Events Coffee Hour: Forced Migration and Human Rights

-

Location: Peace Lounge, Hesburgh Center for International Studies

Peace Lounge

Featuring Erin Corcoran, Acting Director, Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies

Several times a semester, a different member of the Kroc Institute community will facilitate an informal conversation about a timely topic relating to their work or research. Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to join us for these chats about the ongoing work of peace studies in the world. Coffee, tea, and refreshments provided.

The topic for September 9 will focus on global crises caused by forced migration and their intersections with human rights. Professor Corcoran’s work and research focuses on immigration and refugee law, human rights law and other complex legal topics at the national and local level. Prior to joining the Kroc Institute, she provided counsel to Kids in Need of Defense and the Vera Institute of Justice.
