Studying Peace: Stories from Undergraduate Students in Peace Studies

Join students from the Kroc Institute's Undergraduate Program in Peace Studies to learn more about studying peace as a Notre Dame student. Peace studies is an interdisciplinary academic field that advances your knowledge about the nature and causes of violence, oppression, and inequality, and builds your capacity to transform conflict, effect lasting social change, and develop constructive personal, group, and political relationships across ethnic, racial, religious, class, and national boundaries.

The Undergraduate Program in Peace Studies offers the chance to explore these topics in the classroom and learn from leading scholars and practitioners of peacebuilding. It also provides you with learning experiences outside of the classroom, including a major student-led peace conference and the potential for research assistantships and funded independent research. In this conversation, current peace studies students will share their experiences in the program, talk about the importance of peace studies for their academic and career goals, and answer your questions about being a peace studies student. Free peace studies and Kroc Institute swag will be available to those who attend.
