Mediation Program director presents at 29th Annual Africa and Diaspora International Conference

On October 15, Laurie Nathan, professor of the practice of mediation and Mediation Program director at the Kroc Institute, was the keynote speaker at the 29th Annual Africa and Diaspora International Conference, hosted by the Center for African Peace and Conflict Resolution at California State University, Sacramento. 

Additional speakers included Congresswoman Karen Bass, U.S. Representative for California's 37th congressional district, and well-known actor Danny Glover. Nathan's address was entitled "African Mediation in High Intensity Conflict: How African?"
