The Kroc Institute’s website has won a silver award from Horizon Interactive Awards “for excellence in interactive media” in the college and university category.

Horizon is an annual international competition for the best websites, DVDs, online advertising, and video. The eighth annual competition received more than 2,000 entries from 32 countries ranging from Belgium and Brazil to Thailand and Turkey. Entries are judged on their creativity, user experience, and technical merit.

Launched in November 2008, the Kroc Institute’s website was designed as a hub for communicating the latest thinking in peace research and education and for fostering interaction among faculty, other scholars, students, alumni, and peacebuilders worldwide.

Other website award-winners in Horizon’s college and university category included:  Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, Indiana University’s Herron School of Art & Design, and the Harvard University Community Service Directory.
