Call for Applications: Five-Day PhD Course on International Mediation: Theory, Cases and Skills

Applications are now open for the annual five-day Ph.D. course on international mediation, hosted by the Research School on Peace and Conflict in Norway in partnership with the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) and the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies. 

The course is designed and led by Laurie Nathan, director of the Kroc Institute's Mediation Program, and will be held in Oslo June 12-16, 2023.

The course equals 10 ECTS (with approved essay) in the European university system of accreditation, and is recognized as a three-credit Ph.D. course by the University of Notre Dame.

The course provides Ph.D.-level tuition and engagement for doctoral students based at universities throughout the world. It combines theory, policy perspectives, practitioner inputs and skills development. Senior Norwegian mediators discuss their involvement in peace processes.
