Why Peace Studies? Q&A with Students, Faculty, and Alums of the Undergraduate Program in Peace Studies

It's been one year since the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted life as we knew it on the Notre Dame campus and around the world. The pandemic has exposed once again the interconnected and urgent nature of many of the challenges we face as global citizens. 

The Undergraduate Program in Peace Studies equips students with the tools needed to face these challenges head on and develop strategies for building sustainable peace and justice in diverse contexts. 

All incoming and current Notre Dame undergraduate students are invited to join faculty, staff, and alumni of the Undergraduate Program in Peace Studies for a live, online discussion about the field of peace studies. You will learn what peace studies is, how peace studies can enhance your academic experience at Notre Dame, and what to expect from the Introduction to Peace Studies course.

You can also ask questions about pursuing a supplementary major or minor in peace studies, as well as other opportunities available to students in the Undergraduate Program in Peace Studies, including participation in the annual Notre Dame Student Peace Conference or Madrasa Discourses immersion. 

Join the conversation at any point throughout the hour. You will have an opportunity to ask questions during the live session, but we also encourage you to submit questions in advance via the event registration form.
