Psychology and Peace Conference 2018

The Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies will serve as both the host and co-sponsor for the inaugural Psychology & Peace Conference. Running March 9-11 at McKenna Hall on the University of Notre Dame campus in South Bend, Indiana, the event will be the first time American Psychology Association (APA) Division 48, The Society for the Study of Peace, Conflict and Violence, has hosted a gathering outside of the APA’s annual meetings.

The event will draw leading scholars, as well as early career academics and graduate students, to present research that sits at the intersection of psychology and peace studies.

The program will include scholarly presentations, skill-building workshops, and featured speakers. In addition, collaborative work groups of conference participants will focus special attention on building research, practice, and advocacy agendas for the future of peace psychology.

The conference will also host a Paper-in-a-Day event on March 8 at the Kroc Institute.
