Juanita Esguerra Rezk provides research and information management support for the Peace Accords Matrix Barometer project.

Esguerra Rezk is a Fulbright scholar and graduate of the Keough’s School Masters in Global Affairs, where she focused on the intersection between peacebuilding and development and conducted research on the substitution of crops used for illicit purposes in Colombia and the increasing deforestation after FARC’s demobilization.

Prior to attending the University of Notre Dame, Esguerra Rezk worked for the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG- ECHO) supporting projects to deliver humanitarian assistance for victims of armed conflict, and for the National Center for Historical Memory (Centro Nacional de Memoria Histórica), where she conducted research related to gender and reintegration of former combatants, as well as collective reparations.  

She holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Conflict Resolution and Peace Research from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia.
