Barbara McCrea

Kroc Institute Visiting Scholar

 

Barbara McCrea (Ph.D. Notre Dame, 1992), focuses on the politics and societies of Eastern Europe. She previously taught political science at Western Michigan University for 13 years, returning in 1998 as interim Director of the Masters' Program in Development Administration. The co-author of three books and several articles, McCrea has been a Research Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Washington D.C. (1990), and is the recipient of two Fulbright awards at the University of Zagreb Croatia (1993-94) and the University of Tartu Estonia (1999). Her current research centers on issues of development, democracy, and conflict in post-communist societies. She has been a Visiting Scholar at the Kroc Institute since 1994.
