Renée LaReau writes, edits and manages content for the Kroc Institute’s
website. She also initiates and oversees several digital, audio, and
visual projects designed to extend the reach of the Kroc Institute’s
peace research and education. She is the managing editor of Peace Policy, Kroc's online policy journal.
Prior to joining the Kroc Institute, LaReau was an editor at J.P.
Morgan Chase & Co. in Columbus, Ohio. She is the author of Getting
a Life: How to Find Your True Vocation (Orbis, 2003). As a freelance
writer, LaReau's articles appeared in such publications as America, The
Columbus Dispatch, Columbus Monthly, Cooking Light, The National
Catholic Reporter, Ohio State Alumni Magazine, Southwest Airlines
Spirit, and U.S. Catholic. She has received an Ohio Excellence in
Journalism Award and has won several honors from the Society of
Professional Journalists and the Catholic Press Association.
LaReau holds an M.A. in journalism and communication from Ohio State
University and a Master of Divinity degree from the University of Notre
Dame. She also earned a B.A. in preprofessional studies and theology
from Notre Dame.
