Eric Eggleston (USA), M.A. Class of 2009, was an intern in Jerusalem.

During the five-month field experience, Kroc master’s students integrate peacebuilding theory with practice in institutions and communities dealing with issues of peace and conflict, economic development, human rights, and justice. In the past, field placements have been offered in:

  • Cape Town, South Africa, where students have worked at one of several nongovernmental organizations specializing in reconciliation, design of democratic institutions, or government.
  • Uganda, where students have worked with one of several nongovernmental organizations focusing on human rights and development.
  • Southeast Asia, where students have worked with Catholic Relief Services, which serves people of all religious backgrounds, in Mindanao, the Philippines.

Prospective student applicants, please note:
Field site locations are continually evaluated and are subject to change. Students cannot be guaranteed any particular field site or internship. The placement process allows students to rank their preferences among available field placements. Host organizations selected by Kroc choose the students who best fit their needs.
