Peace Brigades International is a volunteer-based organization that promotes conflict transformation and the protection of human rights. It sends teams of highly trained field volunteers into conflict zones around the world to physically accompany individuals and groups threatened by politically motivated violence. Peace Brigades operates field projects in Colombia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Mexico, and Nepal. It has previously worked in El Salvador, Haiti, East Timor, the Balkans, Sri Lanka, and Native American communities in North America.

This event will highlight the critical work of Peace Brigades International, especially its efforts in Nepal related to human rights and the country’s transition from monarchy to republic.
