Undergraduates: Apply Now for 2016 Summer Research Grants

Author: kroc.nd.edu

Interested in spending your summer abroad researching democracy, development, peace, or related issues?

Notre Dame undergraduates are invited to apply for summer research grants offered by Notre Dame’s Kellogg Institute for International Studies and Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies.

Several grants of up to $5,000 are awarded each year for research abroad (or, when appropriate, in the United States). Students must be in their junior year of studies at Notre Dame and be in good academic standing.

Ideally, student topics should relate to the research agenda of the Kellogg Institute or a research priority of the Kroc Institute.

In the summer of 2015, for example, peace studies student Shannon Bugos (english/peace studies) traveled to Northern Ireland to research “The Imagined ‘Fifth Province’ in Northern Ireland’s Field Day Theatre Productions."

A list of recent grant winners and their research projects is available here.

Find more information and application materials on the Kellogg Institute website.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Monday, February 22, 2015.
