The Kroc Institute's website kroc.nd.edu has won "Gold" and “Best in Show” in the 28th annual Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report, the largest educational advertising awards competition in the U.S.

Judges consist of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.

This year, close to 3,000 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges and universities. Gold awards were granted to 167 institutions, and silver awards were awarded to 158 institutions.

“Best in Show” awards were granted to 18 institutions that exhibited “the highest standards, creativity, and professionalism.” The projects that most “captured the attention and admiration of our panel judges” ranged from a special publication produced by the NYU School of Medicine to a student viewbook developed for Stanford University. The Kroc Institute had the only website to win this year’s “Best of Show” award.

“These awards affirm our commitment to making the Kroc Institute’s website the centerpiece of our communications outreach to international audiences,” says Scott Appleby, director of the Kroc Institute.

“We see the website as a powerful tool for strategically reaching, educating, and influencing people and institutions in support of peace research and education. It’s gratifying to see this work being acknowledged as exemplary in higher education.”

“I am so proud of our communications team and also grateful for faculty and staff support and enthusiasm for our efforts,” says Joan Fallon, director of communications. “The work of Kroc scholars, students, and alumni is endlessly compelling, which makes it a great pleasure to tell the story of international peace studies at Notre Dame.”
