Jessica Collett earned a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Arizona (2006). She is interested in social psychology—specifically, exchange and identity, social inequality, and research methods. Much of her previous work, including articles in the American Journal of Sociology, Social Forces, and Social Psychology Quarterly focuses on exchange relationships and the effects of negotiated, reciprocal, or generalized exchange structures.
Collett’s current research (Advances in Group Processes, forthcoming) examines the impact of third-party intervention on conflict, perceptions of justice, and the ongoing relationships between disputants. She teaches graduate and undergraduate seminars in social psychology, as well as undergraduate classes in group processes and social inequality.
