Charles K. Wilber (Ph.D. University of Maryland 1966) is interested in economic development, economic ethics, and economic methodology. In addition to numerous articles, he authored The Soviet Model and Underdeveloped Countries (University of North Carolina, 1969) and co-authored with Kenneth Jameson An Inquiry into the Poverty of Economics (University of Notre Dame Press, 1983) and Beyond Reaganomics: A Further Inquiry into the Poverty of Economics (University of Notre Dame Press, 1990). His current research is on moral values and the economy. This is a long term project that will pull together his various articles on the relation between moral values, economic theory, and economic development and change. The first stage was a book of readings, Economics, Ethics and Public Policy (Rowman & Littlefield, 1998). He has been a fellow of the Kroc Institute since 1987.
