Daniel J. Myers (Ph.D. University of Wisconsin, 1997) explores collective violence, formal models of collective action, game theory, the diffusion of social phenomena, and media coverage of protest and violence. His research includes studies published in the American Sociological Review, the American Journal of Sociology, and the Journal of Conflict Resolution. He also recently completed a book, Toward a More Perfect Union: The Governance of Metropolitan America, (with Ralph W. Conant) re-assessing urban development and planning in the U.S. over the past 50 years. He has been a fellow of the Kroc Institute since 2000.
