John
Paul Lederach in Turbulent Peace, ed. Chester
Crocker, Fen Osler Hampson, and Pamela Aall (Washington
DC: U.S. Institute of Peace Press, 2001).
This edited volume is the latest effort by the U.S. Institute
of Peace to provide comprehensive introductory material in
the fields of conflict resolution and peacebuilding in settings
of international conflict. Lederach's chapter provides an
overview of how to build civil society and reconciliation
in post-accord settings where protracted conflicted has created
deep animosities and divisions.
