This edited volume is the latest effort by the U.S. Institute of Peace to pro-vide comprehensive introductory mate-rial in the fields of conflict resolution and peacebuilding in settings of inter-national conflict. Appleby's chapter explores the role of religious actors in peacebuilding efforts.
