Joan B. Kroc


Joan B. Kroc, widow of Ray Kroc and heir to the McDonald's restaurant fortune, was an extraordinary philanthropist with a keen interest in promoting world peace. From 1985 until her death in 2003, she contributed a total of $69.1 million to establish and support the Kroc Institute at the University of Notre Dame.
