The Kroc Institute is located in the Hesburgh Center for International Studies near the main entrance to the University of Notre Dame in northern Indiana, U.S.A., (90 miles east of Chicago).
Our distinctive building, designed by Ellerbe Becket Architects, consists of a trio of three-story buildings surrounding a central courtyard. Special features include:
- a conference area with a 128-seat auditorium; a 1,200-square-foot Great Hall with art glass windows; seminar rooms; and Greenfield’s International Café
- offices for faculty, staff, and visiting fellows, as well as a branch of the Notre Dame library
- 16 one- and two-bedroom furnished apartments for visiting fellows.
Local directions
Traveling south on Notre Dame Avenue toward the Golden Dome, pass the DeBartolo Performing Arts Centeron the right. The Hesburgh Center is the next building on the right, directly across the street from the Eck Visitors’ Center.
Parking is available in the visitors’ lot to the south of the Hesburgh Center.
Upon entering the campus via Notre Dame Avenue, take the first right (Holy Cross Drive) and follow the road past the entrance to the DeBartolo Center.
The visitors’ lot (at the intersection of Holy Cross Drive and Eddy) is on the right and is clearly marked.
